The short, sheltered first paddle — narrow mangrove channels, minutes from the base.
The easiest way onto the water. Narrow, shaded channels wind through the mangroves right by the base — flat, sheltered water and not much distance.
A good first paddle, or a short one when you don't have half a day. The channels are calm and close to home; how long it takes depends mostly on the tide.
