What changes when a day becomes several.

A day paddle starts and ends at the base, and the water gets one chance to cooperate. Stay out longer and the distance, the season and the time you spend on the water all become part of the same decision — which is why an expedition is planned rather than picked off a list.

How planning works

    Rough dates, how many of you, the paddling you've done, and what you're hoping for.

  2. We read it properly

    Your dates, your group and what you're asking for, weighed against the season and the water.

  3. We talk about what's realistic

    Straight answers — including where an idea doesn't work, and what would instead.

  4. Nothing is confirmed until agreed

    An expedition exists once the plan is agreed with you personally. Not before.

What an inquiry is — and isn't.

  • An inquiry is not a booking. Sending it holds nothing, costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
  • There is no availability on this page. Nothing here shows what is free or taken — we work that out with you.
  • Route and feasibility depend on the conditions and on the plan we agree. Weather, wind, tide and sea state decide what is possible.
  • Prices and what a trip includes come with our reply, once we understand what you're asking for. There is no fixed rate to publish.
  • The Marine Park Permit and Visitor Fee are separate and required. They aren't included, and we don't arrange or invoice them — please buy them yourself.

Expedition FAQ

Are expeditions a fixed package?
No. There is no set expedition on sale here — no fixed itinerary, no departure list and no package price. Each multi-day trip is put together around your dates, your group and the conditions, and we agree the plan with you before anything is confirmed.
How many days can I ask for?
Two or more — that is what makes it multi-day. Tell us roughly what you have in mind and we'll talk through what is realistic for your group, the season and the water.
How big can our group be?
The inquiry form goes up to five double kayaks — that is what the fleet holds, so up to ten people on the water. We don't publish an expedition group size beyond that: if there are more of you, say so in the notes and we'll tell you honestly what we can do.
Do I need kayaking experience?
Describe your paddling honestly — how much you've done, and on what kind of water. There's no beginner-or-advanced grading here to slot into; what suits you is something we work out with you personally. Everyone on the water must be able to swim.
Can we have a guide with us?
You can ask for one in the form. Whether a guide comes along, and what that means for the plan, is part of what we agree together — we'll tell you what's possible when we reply.
Where would we paddle?
We don't publish set expedition routes. Where a trip can go depends on your dates, your group, the season and the conditions at the time — it's part of the conversation, not something to pick from a list.
Is sending the form a booking?
No. An inquiry starts a conversation — nothing is held, confirmed or paid for online. An expedition only exists once we've agreed the plan with you personally.
When do I find out the price and what's included?
In our reply, once we understand what you're asking for. Because every expedition is put together individually, there is no fixed rate or standard inclusion list to publish — what a trip costs and what it covers follow from the plan we agree.
Are permits included?
No. Every visitor to Raja Ampat needs a Marine Park Permit and Visitor Fee. They aren't included and we don't arrange or invoice them — please buy them yourself before you paddle.
What if the conditions affect the plan?
Weather, wind, tide and sea state decide what is possible on the water, so both what we propose and what happens on a given day depend on the conditions and on the plan we agreed with you.
